Our Story

1976
Hygiene Packers was established. Until 1983, Angelo, Stephen, and Giuseppe grew potatoes on their farm in south-eastern Victoria, where they specialised in peeling and packing produce for local restaurants and hospitals.
1980
Hygiene Packers’ transport journey began with the purchase of our first truck, also known as ‘The Volvo’ A pivotal milestone that allowed us to efficiently transport fresh produce from our farm to our packing sheds
1983
Our Ferntree Gully premises was purchased and established, serving as the origin of our current potato line. This marked the beginning of a successful company that would benefit future generations.
2001
Hygiene Packers Expands Operations to the Adjacent Facility to Keep Up with Business Growth & enabling Increased storage capacity.
2004
Purchased a Vac bag sealer to enhance shelf life on our peeled potatoes.
2017
Purchased a drop deck trailer, to allow for more stock movement to the Epping Wholesale Market.
2019
Started supplying our processed products interstate
2020
Company Rebrand
2021
Purchased store 12 in the Epping wholesale Market
2023
Obtained Freshcare Certificate

Purchased store 14 in the Epping wholesale Market
2024
Eliminated paper usage in our warehouse, by implementing digital packing.
